Gigantic folders made easy.

Even though hard disk drives become bigger and bigger, there seems to be never enough space. Entertainment programs and even office applications waste more and more megabytes. Do you ever analyze used disk space?

Often the key of the difficulty is not in the applications but rather in temporary or system files they create. In many a case they clean the mess they've created. Unfortunately, there is always a small percentage of files and folders that never gets eliminated. And you are obliged to do that again: reinstall Windows, format your disks to have a few months of freedom on your PC.

I do not mean to say that used disk space management ends with formatting your disks and reinstalling all the software. There are programs out there that help users organize their directories.

Everyday programs are suitable as long as you use standard folders and do standard things. The issue with people, though, is that we are not that standard about our hard drive demands. We might get impulsive when we create a folder with a hard-to-remember name. The impulse might go, but the folder we created stays. Everyday programs are not that well advanced to deal with non-standard issues.

It is not so easy to view folder sizes. First, you have to find large files and folders and traditional programs make this work surprisingly difficult. It takes ages to view folder size. Another difficulty is that they are of little help about discovering where the biggest space eaters are located. In some rare cases it is nearly impossible to locate these well-hidden directories.

Another issue is getting around gigabytes of megabytes of various data. Nowadays a typical computer will have thousands of different directories, which makes it not so easy to locate megabytes of various data. Tens of screens might have to get scrolled down before you get to your destination.

Directory Size is a better choice.

There is one application which bears the name which speaks for itself: Directory Size.

Directory Size presents an intuitive interface to help you get through all these to find large files. One more significant advantage is adding a visual aspect to disk space analysis. Our brains can manage pictures more effectively than other types of data.

Speed of functioning is another thing to talk about. Directory Size works in the background. It makes a map of where things are. That is why when you need to get somewhere around all those gigabytes, Directory Size offers you a navigation map that makes finding things pretty easy.

With the help of this program you can save some buck. When you can efficiently organize your megabytes of various data, you do not need to get into the hype for more gigabytes. It is much more comfortable to live in a neat apartment than in a huge but messy house where you stumble every time you want to find the remote control or even the way to the bathroom.

And you know what, size does matter when we speak of files and folders on your hard disk drives. Directory Size helps you locate and keep an eye on the biggest space eaters on your computer used disk space. You can even arrange folders according to their size. Thus you can always see what programs and files occupy your precious used disk space and take appropriate action when necessary.
